Evening people….today I would like to share with you some of my make-up essentials. I remember the first time I started putting on makeup I was so overwhelmed with all the different products and brands and to say the list I wasted a lot of money especially on foundation, because I always got the wrong shade. But now am happy coz I got it covered and I can be of help to someone. So for starters, know the best brands around coz there so many to choose from. For foundation I’ve used black opal, mac, rimel and sleek, my favorite being black opal and sleek because they have my shade and also give full coverage. As for eye shadows I’ve gone all out, because all brands have different colors that the other may not have, so you have to find what makes your happy. My favorites are from mac, sleek and Inglot .I would really advice investing in a good set of eye shadows and even though they may be pricey, cheap brands not only look powdery but also cause darkening of the eyelids. Still on the eyes, I love me some cat eye’s….kinda like my signature look so I always have to have a liquid eyeliner and trust me when I say they make all the differences and even if you don’t go all the way, it helps your eye pop. A tip though while shopping is to find one that has a hard tip, almost like a pencil. I use Maybelline .Lip colors on the other hands are experimental because there are some factors to consider such as your skin color and the size of your lips. I love or rather look good in wine red, nude and soft pink. Brands to consider are Mary Kay, Mac and sleek……sleek being my favorite. As for the bronzer I’ve only used Dior. I found the perfect shade and I have never looked back ever since. Overall that’s what I would use on a typical day. Thanks for stopping by and hope I’ve been of help. Good day!!!!!!
Hello beauties….I know it’s a little late but happy NEW YEAR!!!!!! Am so excited and I can’t wait for what this year has to offer. So as usual with a new year comes new resolutions and goals……I know most people say resolutions don’t work because by march most of the things will be out the window, but we still have to try….right?. So one of my resolutions is to keep fit and eat healthy. I know it won’t be a walk in the park but am prepared for it.I even made a deal with myself, that if I achieve this goal, I’ll buy myself something really expensive and not have to feel guilty about it…kinda like giving myself a present. In preparation for this I did a lot of research so that I don’t have very high hopes and expectations which I’ve been doing. It was overwhelming though, because when you google stuff you end up more confused…at least for me, because there’s soooo much out there, from experts to real life experiences, its quit easy to get caught up. Anywho I juiced out what I felt will work for me and what’s left is to put it to work. I first started by calculating my ideal weight, then I downloaded some exercise videos that emphasize on my problem areas since am not a big fun of gyms, then lastly food. I have tried diets before and they weren’t as effective as I thought and for that am 50/50 on diets……. I prefer custom making mine. I wanted to post a picture of how I look now but I thought its better I do both the before and after all at once.so wish me good luck!!!!!!
This is my road down memory lane on the hairstyles I’ve had the last one and half years.I have always known that i can’t stay with one hairstyle more than 2 months but the point hit home when one of my friends told me that every time we meet,i always have a new hairstyle…….he even made fun of me saying its either my salonist uses me for advertisement or am a try-on doll for a new hairstyle.For some reason i just get bored quickly and move on to the next one.Am all about experimenting and discovering myself and knowing what suits me best.I mean! life is too short and when still young even shorter.So mid last year i cut my hair….rihanna inspired and i loved it,really flattered my face shape.I had it for a while though,mixing it up with weaves and color.From there i struggled growing back the sides and did alot of braiding even though am not a huge fun of braids,but a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do.From there i went back to weaving which i do till now.I know many people have a negative view on weaves but its the best invention since electricity…..in my view,and even though i would love love love natural hair but boy is it hard to maintain and let’s not even talk of the length…but all in all we need to appreciate what the Lord gave us with joy and for that,i am thankful.Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build’em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings – nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!
